I think the difference between LJ and so many other of the sites you mention is sort of the difference between natural grown grass and astroturf. We, as humans, must connect. It is essential to our survival. The other sites you mention try to engineer and control that connection. That isn't how it works. Connection happens when and where it is needed, where it is natural, and where it has the necessary resonance to truly harmonize. There is a lot more I have to say about this, but I'll put it into a future post.
