The internet sucks without you guys. I haven't written much, largely because I don't have a place to write. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places, but it seems like the age of blogging has passed.

Admittedly, people still blog. People will always blog, about cats and recipes and resume-building, but not like we used to write. Reading your journals was the best part of my day...and it seems like so many of us have left.

Where the arrows have fallen, I don't know. I thought most of them landed on Facebook and Twitter, but that's not possible, because both sites are awful. If the same interesting people had migrated there, the viewing experience would be as awesome as it was, on Livejournal.

What I find is that the people who were interesting on Livejournal are, for reasons I cannot imagine, willfully dull on Facebook and Twitter - maintaining their true selves here - at a fraction of the original time/energy investment.

What the hell. How do I change that? Did we all "go" somewhere? Is it just that people aren't writing here? If I write more, will you write more? How do I get us back to the way we used to be?
